Our Trainers

Simone is National Training’s resident human resources guru, Simone has proven experience across the industry in management, operations and training roles. She has brought her expertise from years spent working with large corporations, non-for-profit organisations and registered training organisations to develop National Training’s human resource courses.

Simone has gained extensive experience working in the recruitment and career development sectors, while also completing training in management and human resources. Her passion to support the development of her students is exemplified by her significant record of achievement in vocational education, including being recognised as the ‘Outstanding Practitioner’ at the 2013 Victorian Learn Local Awards.

Chris, with over 13 years of experience in the accounting and finance sectors, Chris is well equipped to train students across all aspects of the accounting process. He has used his educational expertise, which includes qualifications such as a Bachelor in Business and Diploma in Aligned Services, to carve out a meaningful career in the non-for-profit accounting sector.

At National Training, Chris oversees various aspects of accounting education – think data entry, budgets and planning, financial reporting, accounts payment, auditing process and banking. He also has considerable operational experience in project management, as he has assisted in implementing new accounting software systems. Chris is excited to help National Training students take their first steps towards creating new career opportunities for themselves.

Graham passionately believes in the emancipatory power of education, he takes great pride in seeing his training change students’ lives through personal development and growth. As a stalwart across many industries, Graham has considerable experience in the analysis, delivery and development of education initiatives in both the public and private sectors.

This means Graham is an educational force of nature when it comes to project management – apart from his extensive experience in such roles, he is skilled in financial performance reporting, operational analysis, high volume logistics and revenue growth strategies. Graham also has a strong human resources background, as he holds a highly successful record in the implementation of strategies that have developed quality workplace health and safety programs.

Michael has a strong background in marketing, with his extensive knowledge in business and management making him the ideal training candidate for these courses. When it comes to the world of work, Michael has seen it all – he has been employed by Boston Partners and AIM to create new distribution channels and products, while also lecturing in Marketing and Strategic Management at Deakin University. He also tutors final year apprentices as part of a small business program to help them develop meaningful business plans.

Michael’s passions lie in teaching students to understand how the learning material can be applied to their current work environment. He cites his role as a Business Studies educator at Barwon Prison as one of his more successful teaching gigs, where he developed his program so it expanded from 6 reluctant prisoners to having a waiting list of 35 students with three full classes.

Matthew’s vast experience as a project manager has led him to a successful 10-year career as a trainer and assessor in the VET sector. His past students often cite that Matthew’s teaching methods could be directly applied to their roles in the workplace and businesses.

Matthew’s strong problem-solving skills are evident in his training delivery, as he has the innate ability to relate these workplace experiences to students’ needs and questions. When it comes to project management, Matthew has implemented wireless communication solution projects for technology companies while also running his own import company.
