What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) ?

RPL requires the student to provide evidence to the assessor that they understand all the parts (or elements) of each unit.

The RPL assessment process can include quizzes, uploading documents that you have developed, supervisor testaments that you understand each of the unit elements and verbal reviews with the assessor.

RPL may be the right choice for those who can prove they have extensive industry experience and work skills, however, often we find those with the knowledge skip the learning materials and go straight to completing the assessments.

If you wish to use RPL, please contact National Training it is subject to assessment of your suitability by NT.

What is Credit Transfer?

This is when you have completed another Nationally Recognised Qualification with another TAFE or RTO – at the Certificate III, IV, or Diploma level.

The unit’s that you completed will come in this format BSBHRM506(unit code) – Manage recruitment selection and induction processes (unit descriptor)

If the unit code fits within the packaging rules of the qualifications we offer (the packaging rules can be found on http://training.gov.au/) then we can do credit transfer, and you’ll be exempt from doing that unit.
